Security

RPG provides feature rich security options to merchants and customers for online transactions.  These include:

• Merchant security mechanisms:

  • Merchant authentication through the use of digital certificates - ensuring the highest level of encryption available (128 bit SSL with 196 bit keys) 
     
  • End to end Data Encryption
     
  • Making sure that card numbers are not shared with merchants
     
• Customer security mechanisms:
   
  • Credit Card Verification Value (CVV2) and Credit Card Verification Code (CVC2)
     
  • 3D Secure Protocol developed by Visa and adopted by card schemes to further secure “card not present” transactions 

These features create a “trust chain” throughout the transaction, shifting the liability of fraud from the merchant to the issuer under certain conditions.
