Mr. Bashir Ahmed Tahir
Chairman of the Board, Raseen Technologies
Bashir Tahir is among the pioneers, who were actively engaged in the planning, initiation and formation of the much reputed investment consortium, Abu Dhabi Group, since 1991. The consortium consists of prominent members of the Ruling Family of Abu Dhabi and other UAE-based businessmen. In his capacity as advisor and representative to His Highness Sheikh Nahayan bin Mubarak Al Nahayan (Chairman of Dhabi Group); Bashir Tahir and the Abu Dhabi Group have been successfully responsible for over US$2 billion worth of foreign direct investments into Pakistan’s financial, telecommunications and real estate sectors.
Career banker since 1962, Bashir Tahir brings with him over forty years of invaluable experience in the field of finance - now leveraged into advising, and leading private equity and buyout ventures. At present, Bashir Tahir holds the office of CEO Dhabi Group.

Mr. Ali Tahir
Board Director, Raseen Technologies
Ali Tahir brings with him a rich academic and professional background in the fields of Finance and Investment and Portfolio management. He has over ten years of experience in Investment Management as a specialist buy-side analyst for Abu Dhabi Investment Authority; where his key responsibilities were improving the coverage and quality of analyses and recommendations, through a focus on fundamental analysis, as well as ensuring that the forecasted inputs were consistent with the in-house valuation screens. His sector experience has been in financials, telecommunications, industrials, and consumers.
At present, Ali Tahir holds the position of Group Chief Commercial Officer at Warid Telecom International (part of Dhabi Group).
Ali has a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) degree from CFA Institute, USA and has also completed his MBA in Finance from Imperial College, London.

Mr. Tariq Habib
Founder, CEO & Board member, Raseen Technologies LLC
As founder and CEO, Tariq Habib set a vision of social change through mobile based financial services. Dealing with payments is an integral element of everyone’s daily life. His mission is to provide convenience and empowerment to all segments of the market - those who are still unbanked, underserved or conventionally banked. He is realizing this vision by creating national level payment eco-systems in various countries in the MENSA (Middle East, North Africa and South Asia) region. He is also spearheading industry efforts for interworking based upon standards so that a true global platform can be realized.
Before setting up Raseen, Tariq worked in various senior-management positions at Emirates Telecom Corporation (ETISALAT). Among other achievements, he founded Comtrust; the only regional e-commerce, PKI and managed services provider. Under his visionary leadership, the architecture and technology created at Comtrust attained status of the regional e-payments switch. He is widely credited for enabling the regional digital economy.
Before ETISALAT, he had successfully launched four other businesses - differentiated due to their unique business models underpinned by emerging technologies.
Tariq Habib has a Doctorate in Business Administration from Swiss Management School and M.Sc. (Elec) from Quaid-e-Azam University.
